It’s the equivalent of a chain email — being tagged in these things, y’know. Thanks, Bernice Puzon! But I’m egotistical enough to play. Why the heck not? We memoirists love to talk about ourselves! You all are dying to know more about the Memoir Queen, I know you are!
Which ten things do I want to tantalize you with? That, my friends — that is the question. Let’s begin.
(1) A few parts of Diary, 1984 may have been adapted from real-life situations. You write what you know, non? A couple of things that may have been taken from a young KiKi’s life include: crush on best friend’s older brother, hating two broads named Sue, going to the movies with friends to see Splash, the duct-taped seat in the movie theatre that someone would always fall through, my obsession with Duran Duran, my awkward weirdness making friends too fast….
(2) I just f*cking spilled coffee on my MAC’s keyboard. For fork’s sake. I batter and beat my technology. I can type 100 WPM, I always wear the “N” off my keyboard, I type SUPER loud — and back when I used…
