Firstly, your home sounds a-maaaa-zing. How I'd love to visit that area sometime! Secondly, I don't know. Maybe we are ALL embarrassed of what we can't control right now. I've been pretty damn embarrassed of the United States since 2016 and still going strong. My partner and I are desperate to retire out of country at this point. I have a young daughter so it may take a while unfortunately.

Ahhh, Italy. I've never been! One of our friends just moved back temporarily with his family. He was here visiting just this weekend and invited us to come visit before he moves back with his family. Would be so great to visit Rome with a true local. I doubt we'll go for the same reasons. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with the air travel right now.

I love your plans for writing. When I was younger, before I imploded and stopped for a long time, there was all this self-imposed pressure that I NEEDED to have a goal with it. Now...I'm just doing it because I love doing it and it feeds that part of me. I'm not going to create any pressure for myself. I have enough of that in my life. This is my escape!
