Kate - I'm so happy we got this squared away. I started reading your story and at first I thought I could relate because I have a 19-year-old son. But then it turned around on me. When I was a senior in high school, I had a car accident much like your daughter's, and this reminded me SO much of my mother and me back then. Right down to my school work being in my totaled car. Beautifully written bittersweet story. I hope the experience didn't impact her too much.
