Linda, thank you for writing this amazing, strong, thoughtful, and powerful piece. I spent a good part of my life studying Marilyn and learning as much about her as possible. I have defended her to others much in the fashion you just did, but most just don’t want to see behind the character she crafted. This may be one of my favorite articles coming to her defense.
