What my douche rocket didn't know is that I started at the same time, if not LATER THAN, he did. I had nooooo idea what I was doing. So I had zero expectations as well. HA! But seriously. I don't hire blindly. When he reached out to me, I went to his page and stalked what he had posted so far. He may have been new to writing, but one would never know it. He had a dry, cutting sense of humor that I loved, and a deep way of thinking and looking back at his life in a way that was so very profound. He is honest, loyal, will push me or stir the pot when he needs to, but also knows when to pull back. He is the business partner I didn't go looking for.
